Requirements
- 2 years experience in long-term care, preferably as ADON.
- REGISTERED NURSE (RN) in the State of Illinois and in good standing.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
- Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate nursing activities.
- Help the director of nursing manage clinical operations and develop care plans.
- Evaluate performance by the nursing department and recommend improvements.
- Conduct patient rounds and address complaints.
- Monitor and train the nursing staff.
- Be the first point of contact for residents as they enter your nursing home.
- Collect medical information for potential and existing residents.
- Ensure all insurance paperwork for incoming residents are in order.
- Conduct appropriate admission assessments of incoming residents to your nursing home.
