About The Position
Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has an ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR (PRN) opportunity. Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents. We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in related field
- Excellent telephone usage skills and strong verbal skills
- knowledge of health care services delivery systems and third party reimbursements
- understanding of admission and discharge functions
- familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic terminology, diagnostic terms and treatment modalities
- knowledge of medical record keeping
- strong interpersonal, organizational, evaluative, and time management skills
- familiarity with applicable standards and regulations
- flexibility
- attention to detail
- able to comprehend psychiatric evaluations, consults, labs results, etc.
- responsiveness to deadlines
- assertiveness, persistence, and persuasiveness
- able to work with minimal supervision
