About The Position

The Admissions Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that every patient enters Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital safely, appropriately, and with all necessary clinical and logistical details in place. By gathering and verifying medical, demographic, financial, and social information, this role supports accurate admission decisions and prepares the care team for each patient’s needs. The coordinator serves as the central point of communication—managing referrals, bed placement, census updates, and coordination with physicians, nursing units, insurance representatives, and families. Their work maintains patient flow, supports clinical readiness, and ensures a smooth, informed transition into inpatient rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of clerical work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Superior customer service skills with experience in a customer-focused setting, both in-person and over phone.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including registration applications, multiple databases, and Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of nursing units and bed management process.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • EHR Experience (Strong preference for EPIC Experience).
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare strongly desired.
