About The Position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school that enrolls students from across the United States and around the world. Culver Academies is located in Culver, Indiana, on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, encompassing 1,800 acres of green hills and woodlands, and a historic collegiate-like campus with beautiful Gothic buildings and architecture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 3 years of general office work experience.
  • Ability to write and edit effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work effectively within every level of the school.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Computer proficient with exceptional data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized courses in business practices and office administration.
  • Understanding of Culver Summer Schools and Camps operations.
  • Spanish speaking language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the overall application process and enrollment of 1400 new and returning campers each year.
  • Supports the additional staff that is brought in to supervise the campers.
  • Communicates with parents.
  • Verifies accurate completion of camper applications.
  • Processes financial aid requests.
  • Ensures proper processing of deposits and tuition payments.
  • Gives campus tours.
  • Assembles appropriate marketing items to be sent to prospective patrons.
  • Supports Culver Summer Schools and Camps Counselors during camp as directed by the Summer School Director.
