About The Position

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) is a growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility that will provide a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary: The Admission Coordinator is responsible for answering the main doors as well as the hospital’s multi-line phone, verify patient insurances, obtaining signatures on admitting paperwork, patient registration, and processing of all admitting forms. The reception interfaces with the Intake Department, patients, and nursing units.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience verifying insurance required
• 1 to 3 years of experience working as a receptionist, front desk clerk or related hospital department required
• Multi-line phone and computer skills required
• Professional, customer service focused individual with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and critical thinking skills.
