About The Position

The Admissions Clinician RN provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge. Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Requirements

Valid Oklahoma RN license, required
CPR certification within 90 days of employment required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Successfully complete a drug test
Successfully pass a national background check
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds
Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
Strong Computer skills
Excellent Communication skills
Strong Leadership skills
The ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, compassionate and must be reliable

Nice To Haves

Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention expierience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferred
Experience in an inpatiet psychiatric setting, preferred
