Requirements

  • Nursing degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare business development.
  • Managed care/insurance experience preferred.
  • Experience with public and commercial payer sources preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and committed to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the facility census through physician outreach, sales calls, and networking with community organizations and hospitals to generate patient referrals and admissions.
  • Evaluate and coordinate admissions in collaboration with center staff.
  • Achieve facility census goals and annual budget projections by conducting on-site sales visits to hospitals and physician practices to convert referrals into admissions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, providing excellent customer service and education on the services provided by our center.
  • Create and implement sales strategies to maximize admissions and grow market share in the assigned geographic area.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance company reimbursement.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and business development activities as assigned.
  • Conduct admission screenings of potential patients, assess level of care, services required, equipment needs, and insurance coverage. Ensure timely clinical acceptance.
  • Propose and implement innovative ideas to improve systems and processes for superior results.
