Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years (24 months) of coursework in any discipline (30 semester hours = 1 year, 60 semester hours or Associate’s Degree = 18 months, 90 semester hours = 2 years) OR work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and interpreting student records in relation to admissions, records, registration, and billing activities.
  • Investigating and resolving problems using the student database and other campus resources.
  • Interpreting policies, procedures, and requirements to customers related to admissions, records, and registration.
  • Adding/dropping/withdrawing students into and from classes.
  • Maintaining student name changes, address changes, and curriculum changes.
  • Investigating academic record issues to make appropriate corrections or to refer to higher levels.
  • Producing ID cards for all campuses affiliated with SIUE, including Alton School of Dental Medicine and East St. Louis.
  • Preparing monthly reports of conference card meal plan activities.
  • Creating and distributing billing invoices to appropriate offices.
  • Attending New Student and Transfer Orientation sessions and working with New Student Programs to produce ID cards for all incoming students.
  • Assisting with ID card changes in policy, procedures, and efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with various offices on campus and with external vendors to produce, maintain, and record conference meal cards and their associated activities.
  • Contacting and scheduling ID card maintenance with the vendor.
  • Managing inventory, ordering, and organizing all ID card supplies.
  • Assisting students, faculty, and staff with registration and curriculum changes that affect enrollment, headcount, and billing records.
