About The Position

The Admission Representative registers patients while promoting positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital departments. The role involves gathering and entering accurate, complete information needed for billing, collections, and reimbursement. The Representative also helps patients understand forms they must sign and their patient rights, and informs them about hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Type 40 words per minute.
• Experience with a computer terminal or personal computer.
• Ability to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous employment in a hospital, medical, or insurance industry; 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
