Seasonal Admission Application Reader
About The Position
The Office of Admission at Williams College is seeking applicants for the part-time, seasonal position of Admission Application Reader for the 2026-2027 cycle. Application Readers will receive extensive training and are responsible for evaluating applications and making recommendations to the Admission Committee. All applications are evaluated electronically. The role involves working from approximately October 26 through mid-February, with training from late October through early November, and application review beginning mid-November. The majority of the work occurs during Regular Decision reading from early January through mid-February, with specific hours and tasks outlined for different periods.
Requirements
- Familiarity with the nature and aims of a selective liberal arts college.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Access to a strong internet connection.
- Work must be completed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York or Vermont.
- Must sign a confidentiality agreement.
Nice To Haves
- One to three years of application reading experience.
- International admission experience at a selective college or university.
- Experience in a higher education, secondary school or other relevant educational setting.
Responsibilities
