About The Position

This position is responsible for managing, organizing, coordinating, reviewing, and directing a staff engaged in overall quality control activities, ensuring conformity with federal/state regulations and guidelines. The role also involves designing, planning, directing, and implementing activities related to management information systems, and in coordination with the Division of Information Technology, planning and directing the analysis, design, and implementation of data and evaluation systems for more efficient and effective services and data accountability. The position is also responsible for compiling and controlling all required federal/state reports.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of management principles as applied to the analysis of data and information.
  • Thorough knowledge of the methods and techniques utilized in designing and implementing management information processing and evaluation systems.
  • Working knowledge of federal/state regulations and guidelines which relate to and govern the programs administered by the department.
  • Ability to manage, plan, organize, coordinate, review, and direct the work of a staff of professionals, technical, and clerical personnel.
  • Ability to write, monitor, and control reports dealing with management decisions.
  • Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in the field of Quality Assurance Methods and/or in Public Administration, or closely related field.
  • Considerable employment in a responsible managerial position in the field of quality assurance involving data evaluation and policy development and execution.
  • Any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, organizing, coordinating, reviewing, and directing a staff engaged in overall quality control activities and assuring conformity with federal/state regulations and guidelines as they relate to quality control processes.
  • Supervising activities involving the analysis, design, modification, and implementation of data and evaluation systems related to federal/state programs administered by the department and maintaining these programs.
  • Supervising procedures that monitor the activities of field staff as they relate to the quality control process used to measure whether the state has met its predetermined goals.
  • Supervising activities involving providing information to department management needed to promote an effective policy-making process for the development/refinement of a data and evaluation system.
  • Delivering an effective and timely reporting system to department management to facilitate management decisions affecting the programs administered by the department.
  • Coordinating and supervising the development of a comprehensive data and evaluation information system.
  • Coordinating and supervising the development of various automated systems.
  • Coordinating the integration of all departmental computerized information systems to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced services to the department’s clients.
  • Planning, scheduling, and supervising data entry operations related to integrated automated systems.
