This position is responsible for the overall administration of the Land Acquisition and Planning Unit’s GIS and Survey Team functions in the Eastern Regions. This position will provide technical assistance to DNR land managers in the areas of property survey administration, property boundary recovery/field reconnaissance and maintenance, and boundary conflict resolution. Duties include but are not limited to property boundary survey review, verification and approval, boundary line identification and recovery both in the field and office. Chain of Title and other Property records research including deeds, easements, rights of way and associated land records to which DNR has a land interest, Deed plotting worksheets in CADD or GIS and other property records data management tasks as needed. This position also assists with the collection, development and management of datasets and other property asset information associated with DNR’s enterprise geographic information system and Asset Inventory Management System (AIMS). Duties include but are not limited to capturing, storing, analyzing, and mapping historical , current, and future property acquisitions and other relevant real property information including deeds, plats, easement agreements, etc. to support DNR’s mission of land stewardship and conservation.
