About The Position

The Admin I Promo Entry supports all aspects of the advertised promotional implementation, including versioning, image attachment, and description and price points. This support includes the implementation and maintenance of the system. Manages and executes divisional specific differences in the Ad and Pricing accurately and on time. Responsible for surfacing and bringing forward recommendations to Category Teams related to any issues, errors, needed corrections and retractions for resolution. Supports Fresh & non-perishables. This position is responsible for validating the entry to the advertised retail and make corrections as required. These retails are determined based upon the application of business rules against funding available and/or direction from the category teams. Also responsible for protecting margin by identifying coupon conflicts, ensuring compliance with promoted pricing process and policy, and internal controls. Responsible to promptly respond to store queries and make corrections as needed. Support Fresh and Non-Perishable.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with promotional strategies, retail pricing, and advertising processes in a retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for data entry, validation, and reporting).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large amounts of data with accuracy.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in promotional pricing, coupon conflicts, or vendor agreements and address them in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Category Teams, Sales Teams, Supply Chain, Item Life Cycle, Advertising, and Pricing.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage different promotional tasks across multiple divisions with varying requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring accurate and timely completion of promotional implementation.
  • Ability to be in the Quincy office 3 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the ad version differences, changes and requirements in the Ad accurately on time.
  • Flow information cross functionally with Item Life Cycle, Supply Chain, Pricing and Marketing/Advertising.
  • Provide inputs and extracts to all Merchandising Systems (i.e. DemandTec, MIC, PLUM, OMI, BICEPS, etc.) to ensure accurate billing, pricing, and promotions.
  • Ad changes are executed and communicated with a sense of Urgency.
  • Ability to multi task, as needed, prioritizing work load.
  • Coordinate information flow between Category Teams, Sales Team, Supply Chain, Item Life Cycle, Advertising and Pricing.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to produce the required work on a weekly basis to ensure the ad is completed accurately and on time.
  • Report issues with systems validate performance and participate in any UAT testing on upgrades as needed.
  • Process information (electronic or paper) required from suppliers, category teams and advertising to enable promotions to be executed in the requisite systems as required.
  • Validate that promoted retails do not violate any previous vendor agreements for price thresholds.
  • Enter promotional retails into DemandTec Promo, and/or any other required systems (Legacy, etc.).
  • Validate that Category Teams do not implement promotional pricing tactics that are inconsistent with banner strategy.
  • Implement promotional retails required by Price Analysts pricing to respond to competitive situations when appropriate.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in all promoted prices implemented.
  • Research and resolve any billing issues as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate response to any store queries regarding promotional pricing.
  • Accountable for end to end promotional validation and quality control.
  • Responsible for connection with marketing/CRM execution (define ownership).
  • Responsible for verifying content and accuracy of Promotions.
  • Responsible for 100% accuracy of the Ad – the pictures match the promotions and the deals match the system.
  • Responsible for managing the differences in promotions by division – both verifying validity and ensuring 100% compliance.
  • Collaborate with Advertising to ensure timely and accurate communication of all ad related promotional information (including accurate ad versioning) for assigned categories.
  • Validate ad retails versus system retails to ensure data integrity for the ad and to prevent issues at store level.
