This role exists to maintain and modernize Switchs Exchange environment and support the Microsoft 365 Suite of applications along with Teams. You will own configuration, standardization, and system health across Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Teams. The role focuses on operational excellence, risk reduction, and automation, not experimental R&D. You will work independently on complex issues and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with Microsoft Exchange Hybrid administration
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online and Teams
• Hands-on experience administering Windows and Linux server environments
• Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD
• Experience with patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening
• Experience automating repeatable operational tasks
• Familiarity with configuration management and package management tools
• Experience working within ticketing systems and basic ITIL practices
• Works independently on complex systems with limited oversight
• Uses sound judgment to prioritize risk, stability, and service continuity
• Communicates clearly and directly with technical and non-technical partners
• Follows through on commitments and keeps stakeholders informed
• Contributes solutions, not just problem statements
• Supports team reliability through knowledge sharing and mentoring

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint Online
• Experience with endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms
• Experience supporting compliance or security control programs
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Red Hat, or ITIL are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own patching and vulnerability mitigation across server and endpoint environments
• Configure, maintain, and automate system baselines for Switch-managed assets
• Monitor configuration compliance and remediate drift or control gaps
• Troubleshoot complex issues in automation, patching, and configuration tools
• Document procedures, access controls, and operational standards
• Triage work requests, meet due dates, and provide clear status updates
• Train and support Help Desk staff to reduce repeat escalations
• Participate in an on-call rotation for escalated incidents
