About The Position

This person will be responsible for time and attendance duties, as well as processing and reconciling all payroll-related information (including deductions, product sales, etc.) within the plant, transmitting the information to Corporate Payroll while meeting all payroll deadlines and adhering to all policies; at all times maintaining confidentiality of all payroll and plant information; responsible for filing and maintaining/retaining documents per policy; schedule upkeep/maintenance, working with HR, other departments, and supervisors to facilitate accurate and timely payments to team members, and other duties as deemed necessary; running reports and their distribution; cross-training and providing backup support for other positions within the Accounting department when needed to cover for vacations or absences, etc.; must be detail-oriented and able to work within a deadline-oriented position on a weekly basis; must be self-motivated and able to work independently without constant direct supervision; must be able to spot errors and correct work on a timely basis; effectively partner with other departments; maintain professional decorum at all times; and provide great customer service to all levels of team members. Some weekend hours may be required if necessary to meet early deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of office experience
  • Ability to do VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, graphs, charts and all other basic formulas in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of multiple business units’ accounting requirements and general ledger coding
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to work within a deadline-oriented position on a weekly basis
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant direct supervision
