About The Position

This person will be responsible for time and attendance duties, as well as processing and reconciling all payroll-related information (including deductions, product sales, etc.) within the plant, transmitting the information to Corporate Payroll while meeting all payroll deadlines and adhering to all policies. They will maintain confidentiality of all payroll and plant information, and be responsible for filing and maintaining/retaining documents per policy. This role involves schedule upkeep/maintenance, working with HR, other departments, and supervisors to facilitate accurate and timely payments to team members, and other duties as deemed necessary. Responsibilities include running reports and their distribution, and cross-training to provide backup support for other positions within the Accounting department when needed to cover for vacations or absences. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work within a deadline-oriented position on a weekly basis, self-motivated, and able to work independently without constant direct supervision. They must be able to spot errors and correct work on a timely basis, effectively partner with other departments, maintain professional decorum at all times, and provide great customer service to all levels of team members. Some weekend hours may be required if necessary to meet early deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of office experience
  • Ability to perform VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, graphs, charts and all other basic formulas in Excel and Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of multiple business units’ accounting requirements and general ledger coding
