About The Position

Peel Housing Corporation provides safe, well maintained living environments for tenants in Peel Living and Region of Peel owned properties including: 71 residential properties, two transitional housing residences and three emergency shelters. These services contribute to a positive experience for residents and enhance neighbourhoods where the buildings are located. Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations and Management Support, Peel Living, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to Peel Living Residential Property Management teams.

Requirements

  • Secondary school education
  • One (1) year general office experience
  • Excellent typing and clerical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word
  • Experience with data entry into CMS and Lotus Notes
  • Physically able to lift, bend, pull, push and lift 20lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be a team player
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good organizational and planning skills in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate well on the phone and in person
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

Nice To Haves

  • Property management experience is considered an asset
  • HTI Software

Responsibilities

  • Typing, data entry, general filing, faxing, photocopying
  • Ensuring the appropriate handling of mail
  • Actively managing a follow-up system to ensure work proceeds in a smooth fashion
  • Prepare correspondence and notices to residents using templates and precedents
  • Coordinating information to order supplies/materials
  • Processing cheques to accounts receivable
  • Scanning and entering incoming documents into databases
