About The Position

The University of Arkansas is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant III to assist the Office Manager with departmental inventory, maintaining the cleanliness of the department office and library, assisting with departmental procurement needs, assisting the Chair and Office Manager with various reports, maintaining the Anthropology website and directory, and taking departmental meeting minutes. This role will also receive, sort, and route all incoming mail and packages. Additionally, the Administrative Support Assistant III will assist students with course registration, registration holds, and course overrides, and act as an assistant to the Director of Graduate Studies, providing support in all graduate student-related processes. The position also involves assisting faculty with office copier usage and submitting textbook and desk copy orders, as well as assisting the Office Manager with faculty-related procurement needs. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Chair, Vice Chair, Director of Graduate Studies, and Office Manager are also part of this role. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
  • At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Workday.

  • Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Chair, Vice Chair, Director of Graduate Studies, and Office Manager.
