About The Position

Own the Details – Keep Our Operations Running Smoothly At Plunkett's, our Administration team keeps the business running behind the scenes. As an Administrative Specialist I, you'll support critical office operations through payment processing, billing, account management, and customer service. This role is based in our Fridley, MN office and works M-F daytime hours. Plunkett's is a solid, family-owned business established in 1915 celebrating over 100 years of continued growth! Our service area covers 26 states with offices in Fridley, MN and Columbus, OH. What Makes This Role Different Entry point into a growing company. Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, with working knowledge of basic formulas, lookup functions, and data organization
  • Strong data entry, typing, and 10-key skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous administrative, office support, customer service, billing, or accounts receivable experience

Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of customer payments, including credit card, ACH, and check transactions
  • Accurately apply payments to customer accounts and resolve payment application issues
  • Research and reconcile billing discrepancies, payment variances, and account balances
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account activity
  • Monitor shared email inboxes and provide phone support backup to the Client Service team as needed
  • Perform administrative tasks and special projects to support departmental objectives
  • Cross-train on additional administrative functions and provide backup coverage when necessary
  • Maintain organized records and documentation
