About The Position

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) is seeking an experienced administrative professional to support its Project Review and Compliance programs. This role is crucial for managing water resources across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York, ensuring drinking water for millions while balancing various needs. The position offers a hybrid schedule, combining office collaboration with remote flexibility, and contributes to a mission focused on clean water and healthy communities.

Requirements

  • Several years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including some supervisory or lead experience.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, office management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory and compliance activities, including NOV (Notice of Violation) cycles, agency-issued permits, notices, public comments, and enforcement correspondence.
  • Draft polished correspondence and manage records and data in our custom database.
  • Maintain mailing lists, handle inquiries from the public and project sponsors, and support internal communication.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in their implementation.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor other Administrative Specialists.
