About The Position

Community Health Alliance is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Specialist to join our behavioral health team. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while supporting the daily operations of our outpatient and community-based programs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative, medical office, healthcare, or customer service environment.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a behavioral health, medical, or human services setting.
  • Experience with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or electronic health records.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, customer-focused service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, visitors, and community partners while providing exceptional customer service in a professional and compassionate environment.
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, manage calendars, and assist clients with accessing behavioral health services.
  • Complete patient registration, verify demographic information, and support the intake and admissions process.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records, patient accounts, and administrative documentation in a timely manner.
  • Manage waitlists, coordinate appointment scheduling, and communicate with clients regarding upcoming services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations and a positive client experience.
  • Maintain office supplies, reception areas, and administrative records to support daily program operations.
  • Assist with reports, data tracking, special projects, and other administrative functions as assigned.
  • Protect client confidentiality while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational policies.
