About The Position

This position will provide clerical, technical and programmatic support to staff in the Special Assistance program within Economic and Family Services. This position will receive and direct callers to the appropriate programs and services. This position will require a working knowledge of NC FAST and the ability to access and update data fields related to facility Civil Rights agreements. This position will research facility licenses through the Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) website and assist with notifying county DSS staff regarding facility closures. This position will monitor and maintain numerous internal programmatic data spreadsheets. This position will provide support for travel reimbursements and authorizations. This position will be responsible for written communications to include formatting and preparing letters, charts, change notices, administrative letters and Dear County Director letters for distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience using the NC FAST system, including efficient navigation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint office programs
