About The Position

The Administrative Specialist I - Critical Care Surgery will serve as the primary administrative contact for SCC leadership and the fellowship program director. This role involves coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, distributing materials, and recording minutes. The position also assists with the hiring, onboarding, credentialing, and licensure reimbursements for Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers (APP), and supports recruitment activities for SCC faculty and fellows. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining SCC and ICU websites/Bridge pages with accurate content. A key responsibility includes preparing and distributing monthly ICU call schedules for multiple units, updating schedules, and coordinating changes with various stakeholders. The role also involves identifying and resolving scheduling gaps and conflicts. In terms of education support, the Administrative Specialist will assist with orientation, evaluations, CCC meetings, interviews, and ACGME required documentation for the SCC fellowship, while also tracking competencies, procedure logs, and attendance. The position provides ancillary administrative support to the Acute Care Surgery division, assists with budget tracking and operational expense monitoring, and handles general office tasks, correspondence, and maintenance requests. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, the ability to adjust priorities based on urgency, and initiative to complete tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities
