About The Position

University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking to hire a full-time Administrative Services Coordinator for the Children's and Women's Services Division. This role provides essential administrative support to administrators within the division, including the Director of CWs and their leadership team. Responsibilities encompass data management, handling required documentation, addressing patient/family and administrative inquiries, managing Standards of Practice and Policies, maintaining confidential information, and providing Human Relations support. The position requires discretion in handling factual and confidential data and a thorough understanding of the Children's Hospital, Division, and Institutional operations. Daily use of personal computers, staff access security, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some (6 months – 1 year) administrative, office coordination or financial experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Role models service excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Previous experience working in a health care setting.

  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies/procedures

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily office operations related to daily schedules and special projects
  • Coordinate annual staff evaluation processes including sending e-mails for peer reviews, tracking when peer reviews and self-evaluations are completed, and pulling additional data as requested by Director.
  • Schedule appointments, schedule meetings, and handle information requests
  • Pull budget information from multiple sources into a single spreadsheet for the Director to analyze
  • Draft correspondence and announcements and distribute on behalf of leadership
  • Maintain and update nursing-based web site containing policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
