About The Position

The Administrative Services Coordinator I provides direct support to roughly 60 staff and partners statewide associated with the Risk Intervention Services (RIS) Division of Corrections who deliver essential services to incarcerated individuals, focusing on education, vocational training, and behavioral health. Responsibilities include collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate operational and oversight activities. Proficiency in automated data processing systems is required to address resource management needs and maintain inventories of equipment and materials for providers and participants. The person in this position serves as a liaison between department business and operations staff to ensure that functionality and integration align with both current and future division objectives. Additionally, the role involves supporting providers in utilizing the division's student information system (SIS) database to maintain accurate participant records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
  • One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
  • Two years of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.
  • One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.
  • Experience working with the VISION system may be required.
  • Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
