About The Position

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to provide secretarial and administrative duties to the unit manager.   • Possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment
  • Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12)
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of professional office experience

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and summarizes correspondence/data to generate letters or reports
  • Performs a variety of complex administrative tasks for an administrator and/or program manager
  • Screens and routes incoming calls and answers general inquires
  • Attends meetings and transcribes minutes for distribution
  • Acts as unit timekeeper
  • Establishes and maintains administrative/confidential files
  • Generates purchase orders and maintains the unit office supplies
  • Collects summaries for unit budget preparation
  • Functions as lead office support, trains/back up other clerical staff
  • Maintains post orders/department policies and procedures
  • Drives on State business
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
