The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, is responsible for managing the full life cycle of more than 800 bridges and tunnels and over 600 retaining walls, ensuring public safety and mobility for all users. Team members work on major capital projects, oversee construction and maintenance activities, perform engineering reviews, and conduct quality assurance tasks on some of the most iconic and complex infrastructure projects in New York City. The Bureau of Capital Design and Construction is responsible for delivering major projects on all NYC-owned bridges and tunnels, including long-span bridges over the East River, movable bridges, and roadway bridges. The Bureau manages all aspects of design and construction by contracting with private engineering and construction firms that provide design, construction support, resident engineering, and inspection services under the direction and supervision of Bureau personnel. The Bureau seeks to hire two Admin Project Manager (NM) to serve as a Project Manager / Engineer-in-Charge. The selected candidates will manage one or more bridge component rehabilitation projects in the Bridges Component Rehabilitation Group throughout the design and/or construction phases. The position requires the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in directing project activities, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring successful project delivery.
