Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned.
  • One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions.
  • Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience (several years) in management or supervisory role.
  • Budget preparation, reporting and mathematical computations
  • Excellent leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (spreadsheets and databases)
  • Ability to Work effectively both independently and as a part of a team, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Ability to Interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies and laws (Medicare and Medicaid)
  • Ability to Analyze financial and operational data.
  • Ability to Identify and resolve problems, make sound decisions, and develop/implement solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental budgets by tracking expenditures, reviewing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Oversee account reconciliation processes and supervise contract-related spending to maintain fiscal accuracy and accountability.
  • Direct and coordinate daily operational activities, including supervision of the accounting team and oversight of workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare budget reports for executive leadership and compile documentation required for audits, accreditation, or compliance reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to state statutes, agency policies, and regulatory standards related to financial and operational practices.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, external partners, vendors, and clients to support collaboration and effective communication.
  • Respond to information requests and coordinate the flow of communication across programs and teams.
  • Support the administration and tracking of contracts with suppliers and service providers, ensuring contract terms are met and documentation is up to date.
  • Other duties as assigned
