The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented administrator and team player to serve as a full-time Program Manager/Administrator for the Theatre for Learning program. The Creative Arts Team (CAT) is an arts-in-education program at CUNY within the K16 unit, serving over 20,000 people annually in New York City. CAT utilizes theatre strategies to engage, inspire, and educate in various settings, including schools, after-school programs, college campuses, community-based organizations, and government facilities. The program has two main strands: Participatory Drama and Theatre-Making. The Theatre-Making Programs focus on creating original theatre from the ideas of young people, fostering vital life skills, community building, and civic engagement. The Theatre for Learning (TFL) program specifically employs a youth-driven, student-centered approach in schools, supporting NYS Arts Standards and NYC Blueprint theatre learning standards, while promoting social-emotional and academic growth. Current TFL programs include CASA (Cultural After-School Adventures), the Cultural Immigrant Initiative, and Early Learning Initiatives like Interactive Storytelling. This position will primarily focus on the Theatre for Learning portfolio while also supporting other Theatre-Making Programs.
