About The Position

This is a full-time, 12-month non-union bargaining unit position for an Administrative Professional. The role involves a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support the department and its programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Works collaboratively with other Administrative Professionals.
  • Highly dependable and flexible.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred.
  • Experience in PowerSchool is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Possession of or eligibility for appropriate certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • American Sign Language – advanced skill desired.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars/schedule appointments, meeting reminders.
  • Greet all incoming visitors and ensure that guests sign in/out as required.
  • Receive and refer telephone/VP calls as appropriate.
  • Handle email and formal correspondence to staff, families, etc.
  • Perform e-filing and filing.
  • Maintain a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases.
  • Process forms and related paperwork.
  • Print out lesson plans.
  • Plan department events.
  • Process and distribute (mail/email) letters and other correspondence.
  • Provide clerical support for various programs and departments.
