About The Position

Join the Department of General Services as an Administrative Officer 2 and become a leader in improving customer support for the Commonwealth’s vehicle fleet. This role gives you the chance to shape essential programs, build strong partnerships, and promote safe, efficient transportation. Your work will support agencies across Pennsylvania and help ensure dependable fleet operations. This position oversees key activities that support the management, safety, and reliability of the Commonwealth’s Automotive Fleet. It provides leadership for customer service operations and statewide service agreements.

Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Experience with team building, conflict resolution, and employee development skills
  • Experience working with other management team members to develop call center objectives while being efficient
  • Automotive experience such as automotive estimating, mechanical work, autobody repairs, or experience in an automotive environment
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Ensure policies and procedures for fleet maintenance and repairs are followed and updated
  • Serve as the point of contact for agencies regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance needs
  • Develop and maintain the statewide service agreement program and ensure vendor information and updates are accessible
  • Review and approve maintenance and repair requests for Purchase Fund and qualifying Special Fund vehicles
  • Track and manage fleet recall activity and ensure completion of all required safety actions
  • Guide customer service personnel to ensure accurate support and high quality service to drivers
