About The Position

The Administrative Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and Administration activities. This includes customer service, payroll, recruiting and hiring, personnel matters, State Compensation Board reimbursements, records management and destruction, and purchasing. This role supervises the administrative team and seasonal temporary staff, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant workflow across the department. The position also involves supporting essential county functions and contributing to the effective delivery of public services. The manager will be involved in management’s short- and long-term strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of human resource administration and employment laws
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply policies and guidelines to a wide array of situations
  • Ability to use critical thinking and reasoning skills to make sound decisions
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Pre-employment drug testing
  • FBI criminal background check
  • Education/degree verification required

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred
