This position functions as an experienced administrative law examiner with responsibility for presiding over and performing a full range of administrative hearings relating to the regulatory authority, rules, and procedures of the assigned department or agency. Extensive independent judgment is used to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have substantial impact on services or programs. Rendered decisions are based on findings of fact and/or legal interpretations and conclusions. Primary, though not exclusive, case type is unemployment appeals.
