As Administrative Director for the Division of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, you’ll serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Division Head, helping translate priorities into action across a complex organization. You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing initiatives across clinical operations, research, and education while keeping leaders connected, priorities aligned, and critical work moving forward at one of the world’s leading cancer centers. This is a highly visible opportunity to work alongside senior leadership and influence initiatives that span the entire division. You’ll monitor strategic priorities, track milestones, identify barriers, coordinate resources, and keep teams focused on delivering results. You’ll help the Division Head prepare for key meetings and engagements by synthesizing complex information, anticipating challenges and opportunities, developing speaking points, and creating executive-level communications and presentations. You’ll also serve as a critical connector across the division and institution. From coordinating communication among senior leaders and supporting institution-level committees and workgroups to helping navigate sensitive issues and facilitating alignment across stakeholders, you’ll build relationships throughout the organization and develop a deep understanding of its operational dynamics. You’ll also coordinate tenure-track and Department Chair recruitments, support division-wide governance and communication efforts, and lead special projects assigned by the Division Head and Executive Committee. This role is ideal for a highly organized, responsive, and creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently navigate competing priorities and complex relationships, and knows how to turn strategy into execution. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how a major academic division operates while working closely with leaders across clinical care, research, education, and institutional initiatives. MD Anderson offers competitive pay, an annual merit increase program, annual incentive opportunities, an employer-funded pension contribution, medical, dental and vision coverage, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
