About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Emergency Services for a high-acuity, multi-site emergency services leadership role in Houston, Texas. The Administrative Director of Emergency Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of performance and results across multiple emergency services sites and functional areas. This leader fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence while directing the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures that support facility and market objectives. This role provides executive-level leadership across quality, service, people, growth, and financial domains while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant emergency care delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas or valid compact license
  • Minimum of 3+ years of RECENT acute care Emergency Department leadership experience required
  • Candidates with strong ED Manager experience may be considered based on size of department and reporting structure

  • Master’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight of emergency services across multiple sites and functional areas
  • Lead the development and execution of evidence-based practices to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and care efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards
  • Drive patient throughput strategies including capacity planning, volume forecasting, and patient flow coordination
  • Direct nursing practice and operational standards to meet patient and family needs
  • Lead patient experience initiatives and performance improvement strategies
  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership and frontline teams
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative leadership to support service line growth and expansion
  • Oversee budgeting, labor management, productivity, and cost containment initiatives

Benefits

  • Salary Range (heavily based on years of experience): – Minimum: $116,251 – Midpoint: $145,308 – Maximum: $174,366
  • Annual Performance Bonus: 17.5% Director Incentive (based on performance)
