About The Position

The Director of Administrative Services is responsible for the overall management of the financial, administrative and personnel support functions for The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. Serves as a principle consultant and adviser to the Dean of the College on a wide range of fiscal, management and personnel related issues. This is a full (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime exempt. Monthly Salary: $7,541.56 - $10,000.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field with an accounting emphasis and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and business management which has included supervisory and facilities management experience.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field and/or CPA certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the required work experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience working in an audit environment, identifying issues and implementing controls.
  • Work in creating, editing, or reviewing contractual agreements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a college finance officer.
  • Prior Experience in business setting at a college or University.
  • Knowledge and Experience with WSU business and financial systems.
  • Public broadcasting administration or accounting experience.
  • Experience presenting information and data to large audiences.
