About The Position

The Administrative - Customer Service Representative will be responsible for handling various administrative and customer service tasks within a medical setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical insurance, referral processes, and patient benefit plans. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office, with a focus on patient interaction and administrative support.

Requirements

  • 6+ months recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
  • 2+ years’ recent experience working as a Patient Service Representative
  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience completing disability forms for patients
  • Covid Vaccinations & Booster required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CS-Link/Epic
  • Orthopedic practice experience

Responsibilities

  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, services, and billing.
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination.
  • Process referrals and verify patient insurance benefits.
  • Handle patient registration and update demographic information.
  • Complete disability forms and other patient-related documentation.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
