About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator provides comprehensive operational and administrative support to the School of Business & Technology, ensuring the efficient coordination of academic programs, faculty needs, and student services. This role serves as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for managing communications, scheduling, records, and key administrative processes that support day-to-day operations. Working collaboratively with school leadership and faculty, the Administrative Coordinator supports course scheduling, coordinates meetings and events, maintains accurate documentation, and assists with faculty and student inquiries. This position contributes to a responsive, student-centered environment in alignment with Newman University’s Catholic identity and the Adorers of the Blood of Christ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn institutional systems (e.g., student information systems, learning management systems)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered service
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the school, responding to and routing faculty, student, and external inquiries
  • Manage calendars, meetings, and event logistics for the school, including preparing materials and recording notes as needed
  • Support day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficient workflow and organization
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in accordance with university policies
  • Facilitate communication across faculty, staff, and university departments to support program operations
  • Support student services by providing timely information and directing students to appropriate resources
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by school leadership
  • Uphold and support the mission of the school in alignment with Newman University’s Catholic identity and the Adorers of the Blood of Christ
