The Cabinet for Economic Development, Office of the Secretary is seeking an Administrative Coordinator. This role involves being a thought leader, owning areas of responsibility, and carving out paths to address important issues for the Cabinet. The coordinator will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the energy ecosystem, including utilities, developers, and industry associations. They will coordinate with the Commissioner and Secretary to define priorities within the energy sector and emerging industries, and scope out programs of work for the Cabinet's efforts to grow these spaces in the state. Responsibilities include coordinating and participating in meetings with companies involved in energy and emerging industry projects, tracking and supporting engagement with organizations involved in advanced nuclear technologies, and drafting high-quality briefing materials for Cabinet leadership. The role also requires providing timely and accurate energy and emerging industry-related data and insights, supporting leadership participation in meetings and engagements, and developing a working knowledge of the nuclear energy sector. Additionally, the coordinator will monitor legislative and regulatory developments, track incentives and policies of other states, support initiatives like a Kentucky Nuclear Ready Community Designation program, and assist in managing relationships with third-party consultants. Awareness of broader energy landscape trends, analysis of emerging technologies, and providing insights into regional and national energy trends are also key aspects of this position. The candidate will be prepared to represent the Cabinet in public meetings.
