About The Position

ATCO Gas is looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Coordinator to join their team. This role is a temporary position for approximately 12 months, offering an engaging, hands-on experience in the gas utility sector. The Administrative Coordinator will thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, where their contributions will be recognized and valued. The role involves supporting departmental needs, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to a team environment focused on continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus a one-year certificate in Business Administration (or a related field) from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience supporting a busy team, with strong coordination, calendar management, and document/report preparation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Proven track record to establish and maintain professional relations with internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in database software, (Salesforce, Maximo and Oracle) is an asset.
  • Experience with timekeeping would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong organizational skills to proactively meet the department’s day to day administrative needs.
  • Support the Department with the timekeeping process, enter time exceptions and run monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
  • Conduct basic research, data reconciliation, and report preparation to support decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain records efficiently, ensuring accuracy and easy retrieval.
  • Use advanced PC applications to create and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
  • Serve as a point of contact, offering information and assistance to both internal and external partners.
  • Facilitate office support functions and act as a receptionist as needed, showcasing exceptional customer service skills.
  • Contribute to a team environment with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
