About The Position

The Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD) is seeking an experienced and motivated Administrative Coordinator/Senior Administrative Coordinator to lead administrative and organizational tasks within Division C. This division covers 5 countries (Djibouti, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen) and includes a mix of program/surveillance and EM/LIC/FCS countries. The Lead Administrative Coordinator will support the division's staff under the guidance of the Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief, working collaboratively with a shared administrative coordinator.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, with two of those years in a lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in Word, compound documents, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and various software applications.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, DARTS, TIMS, Nexus, CRS, and Fund practices and procedures.
  • Strong administrative, technological, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, multitask, and train junior staff.
  • Must have passed the IMF Office Assistant Exam.
  • Must be currently residing in the Washington DC metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the seamless flow of administrative processes within the division.
  • Monitor the busy work agenda, action items, and shifting priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist with the preparation of country-related documents, briefs, and memos, ensuring adherence to Fund style and formatting guidelines.
  • Transmit documents to review Departments, Management, and the Board.
  • Organize meetings, seminars, workshops, and/or conferences, including planning, material production, scheduling, logistical arrangements, and liaising with participants and speakers.
  • Manage travel arrangements for division members.
  • Handle expense reports.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff within the division.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Occasionally contribute to and support department-wide initiatives.
