About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator, Instructional Leadership Support, supports the Director, Educational Technology and Innovation in leading District-wide instructional improvement efforts that strengthen curriculum, teaching, learning, and student achievement by leveraging technology with intention. The position focuses on supporting schools, principals, teachers, and instructional leadership teams in designing and implementing high-quality instructional practices that meaningfully integrate educational technology to deepen student learning and academic engagement.

Requirements

  • At least eight (8) years of successful, full-time public school service in a certificated position(s), with no fewer than two (2) years of which must have been in a position(s) requiring the Administrative Services Credential
  • A valid California Administrative Services Credential
  • An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard conferred by a regionally-accredited college or university
  • Completion of required Multicultural Education and Master Plan coursework

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of curriculum, standards, instructional frameworks, and learning sciences
  • Demonstrated experience in leading instructional improvement initiatives at scale, with a focus on intentional technology integration for teaching and learning
  • Possession of one of the following certifications is highly desirable and must be active and valid at the time of application: Apple Distinguished Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Google Certified Innovator, or Certified Education Technology Leader
  • Experience working with diverse communities and engaging stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Leads and supports District-wide instructional improvement focused on the effective integration of technology into curriculum, instructional delivery, student engagement, and academic achievement across content areas
  • Supports District and regional instructional leads, principals, instructional leadership teams, coaches, and educators in developing and implementing standards-aligned instructional practices that integrate learning experiences with technology
  • Designs, facilitates, and coordinates high-quality professional learning opportunities for administrators, teachers, and instructional staff focused on using technology to strengthen teaching practices, instructional planning, and student learning outcomes
  • Develops professional learning resources, instructional toolkits, model lessons, and guidance documents that support schools in implementing District instructional priorities and initiatives related to educational technology and innovation
  • Supports implementation of District instructional priorities and Board initiatives, including digital citizenship, computer science, digital literacy, and technology use within teaching and learning contexts
  • Collaborates with instructional divisions, regions, and school teams to ensure coherence and alignment across educational technology initiatives and professional learning programs
  • Leads instructional change management efforts that help administrators and educators implement new instructional practices and improve student learning experiences related to the effective use of technology
  • Uses student achievement data, classroom evidence, educator feedback, and instructional observations to support continuous improvement of educational technology and innovation programs
  • Monitors implementation of instructional initiatives related to educational technology and supports schools in evaluating the impact of instructional practices on student engagement and academic outcomes
  • Supervises and evaluates subordinate staff responsible for providing professional learning, curriculum, and instructional support services with technology
  • Supports communication and engagement efforts that promote understanding and implementation of educational technology initiatives and programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
