This is a full-time day shift position, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The primary responsibilities include comparing incoming shipment's waybill information to the database for accuracy before receiving, arranging Canadian customs clearance and delivery details for all outgoing shipments, handling correspondence and electronic mailings, and delivering items to requisitioning departments. The role may also involve maintaining department databases, preparing routine reports, filing shipping and receiving records, and completing reports during and at the end of the shift. The clerk will notify the manager or planning departments when major discrepancies occur and prepare Bills of Lading. This role also involves checking items shipped against work orders to ascertain correct quantities, ensuring all relevant files are maintained and organized, forwarding information to appropriate departments for processing, and communicating with others to resolve shipping and receiving related problems. Maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary information, company data, and personnel information is crucial.
