About The Position

The Real Estate Department at Florida East Coast Railway is responsible for managing railroad land assets, property rights, and real estate-related revenue. This position provides billing, administrative, and special project support for the FEC ROW Real Estate department. Florida East Coast Railway operates 351 miles of mainline track along the east coast of Florida with direct rail access to South Florida's ports. FECR also serves five intermodal terminals and provides full service drayage for our customers, with connections to two Class One Railroads in Jacksonville.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative and billing experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and work with interruptions
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • 5% travel required
  • The applicant selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test; passing results must be received prior to start date in new position

Responsibilities

  • Process and Manage Department Billing – end-to-end billing cycle.
  • Responsible for auditing/reconciling monthly billing data and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Creating and sending invoices
  • Annual property tax reimbursement billing
  • Field department inquiries
  • Maintain systems and Records: Keep tenant records current in JD Edwards
  • Onboard new applications
  • Process ROE’s
  • Prepare and update department documents, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Process code enforcement violations
  • Oversee insurance compliance
  • Scanning and filing
  • Manage inbound and outbound department mail
  • Manage department off-site storage and onsite file room
  • Support the Director and Real estate team as needed
  • Meeting scheduling
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Adaptability - Be willing to learn new duties as required
  • Work with tenants/Licensees and accounting on billing issues, application, and general account updates
