This position provides advanced administrative support, including coordinating daily operations, managing communications, maintaining records, assisting with projects, and supporting faculty, staff, and students. Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Use professional phone and email etiquette, and handle basic tasks e.g. copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Schedule in-person and online meetings using Outlook and Teams application and document meeting minutes.
  • Ability to work with students, faculty, and the public with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or four-year degree in business administration, office administration or communications.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in administrative or clerical support role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the administrative assistant to the Highlands College Leadership Team and Faculty.
  • Oversee all clerical and budget/purchasing transactions for all Highlands College employees/programs.
  • Act as a Pearson Site Manager and proctor (as needed) for the Pearson Testing Center.
  • Oversee multiple employees, including Highlands College work-study students and Pearson Testing Center Personnel.
  • Organize campus events including Industrial Advisory Board meetings (twice yearly), Highlands Trades and Tech Day (every fall), annual fundraising event (Golf Scramble every spring), Highlands Exploration Day (spring), and the Highlands College Career Fair (spring).
  • Assist students with all administrative questions and provide direction to students and families on campus or visiting campus.
