Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to demonstrate and apply customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to explain and interpret program information to clients/customers and staff with HIPPA compliance.
  • Working knowledge of data collection and storage to compile, assimilate, and organize printed and electronic information.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas through a variety of media (phone/e-mail) to individuals or groups.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment and other technology (software/systems/metal detector/etc) to meet work needs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors to appropriate locations within the facility.
  • Provide information about services, programs, and facilities.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out processes for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Operate Guest Services equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in guest areas.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Accommodate visitors, employees, vendors and other stakeholders of the hospital to include walking and using stairs to and from the required destination and at times using wheelchair transport as necessary.
  • Be the first level of contact for inspection and cataloging of items such as clothing, food, monetary donations, personal comforts and any other forms of personal items entering the hospital, including but not limited to preventing all contraband from entering.
  • Issue all name badges for visitation requiring knowledge of the Lobby Guard system for registration.
  • Learn, interpret and explain policies, regulations, and programs.
  • Monitor the front lobby and door call system.
