About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Division of Temporary Solutions. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This temporary role is located at 610 E Center Avenue, Mooresville - Iredell County, with the Department of Environmental Quality. Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time and must be fully qualified for the job. This position offers exposure to an agency's culture, processes, and procedures, potentially providing valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fully qualified for the job.

Responsibilities

  • Perform office support tasks.
  • Explain and interpret program information to clients/customers and staff.
  • Collect, assimilate, and organize printed and electronic information.
  • Convey basic information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups.
  • Adjust language or terminology to meet the needs of the recipient(s).
  • Present ideas in written form, utilizing correct grammar, organization, and structure.
  • Utilize office equipment and other technology (software and systems) to meet work needs.
  • Facilitate the flow of work and coordinate office support activities with other staff.
  • Maintain internal and external contacts for work coordination.
  • Understand basic issues, identify problems and opportunities to determine the appropriate course of action.
