About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role is located at 1700 Tryon Park Dr. in Wake County and is assigned to the Department of Justice. The hourly rate of pay is $17.50, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Temporary employees may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) if they work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week. Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fully qualified for the job.
  • Temporary employees can only hold one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
  • Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update shared data systems and spreadsheets used to track statewide criminal justice compliance information.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity across large scale datasets.
  • Assist senior leadership in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and preparing written materials to support agency operations and commission activities.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with state regulations and reporting standards.
  • Handle and maintain sensitive criminal justice records with discretion, applying classified clearance protocols in compliance with state standards.
  • Support the work of a 35-member commission, overseeing criminal justice standards and training for criminal justice professionals across North Carolina.
