About The Position

Reporting to the Dean of the Honors College, the administrative associate is a member of the Honors College administrative staff and is responsible for providing administrative support for the dean and associate dean as well as the Honors College staff. Coordinate all administrative work for Honors theses and tutorials, review office documents and publications, serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and general information requests, complete all routine human resources, purchasing, and travel forms, and serve as primary point of contact for Information Technology work orders, facilities maintenance and janitorial staff. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience related to office processes, scheduling meetings and events, and customer service required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and one year of previous related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
  • An Associate’s degree (two years of college coursework) and two years of related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility for U.S. employment is required before employment (Immigration Control Act of 1986).
  • This position requires a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with student workers/interns.
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures preferred.
  • CAP/CPS preferred.
