About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the SNF Administrator, Social Service designee, and Activity Manager by coordinating a full scope of administrative and clerical activities within each department including central supply.

Requirements

  • Word processing and database programs literacy.
  • Clerical skills including word processing, filing, knowledge of office procedures and practices, knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative in accomplishing responsibilities.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communicates skills and the ability to manage and work in a multi cultural setting.

Nice To Haves

  • AA Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • One year experience in similar setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: filing, copying, and data entering for Administrator, Social services and Activity department.
  • Composes, prepares and edits documents, reports, minutes, etc. as requested, ensuring compliance with standard formatting, accuracy and timeliness - checks records and documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Sets up and maintains files and records - establishes, maintains, updates and manages departmental filing system as needed. Ensures that all files are accurately labeled, retained and destroyed accordingly.
  • Types and designs documents such as memos, emails, activity schedule, charts, tables, graphs, and spreadsheets while ensuring for clarity and accuracy.
  • Works independently and within a team on special and non-recurring and ongoing projects for administrator, social services, and activities.
  • Follow up with loss and missing under the direction of social service designee.
  • Responsible for daily room checks, welcoming baskets, putting together admission packets, as part of the First Impressions program.
  • Customer service tasks associated with new admissions in Lorber.
  • Composes documentation of department metrics, budgets, price-comparisons, and other monthly departmental costs.
  • Receives incoming calls and forwards calls to appropriate departments.
  • Attendance at mandatory department meetings and in-service education.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Assist residents with needs as appropriate.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
